The volunteer Participant Advisory Board (PAB) was created to connect the community with investigators to have representation of specific communities that have experienced a particular disease. This collaboration between participant volunteers and researchers allows for the exchange of ideas and for GHUCCTS investigators to apply the community feedback into the planning, recruitment, implementation, evaluation, and dissemination of clinical research studies. The mission of the PAB is to advance safety and excellence in scientific research through the representation of a varied perspective from community members in the research process.
Our PAB members bring their unique perspective as clinical trial participants to the table as we discuss research methods, recruitment, and the importance of community engagement in clinical trials.
Benefits of joining the Participant Advisory Board
Interested in joining? Complete the form below if you are a patient, or family member of a patient, who has engaged in a research study and you're willing to share insight about your experiences.
The PAB is also available to provide feedback to researchers. Visit our Recruitment Center Services page for more information.
A new effort by GHUCCTS will help those participating in research studies and their caretakers learn about the clinical research process, offer feedback on participant recruitment strategies and ultimately serve as ambassadors for research in their communities.
