Diabetes Alert Day! Managing Diabetic Kidney Disease

Flyer for GITVC March 23, 2021 event Join us on Diabetes Alert Day to learn why monitoring only HbA1c may not be the best for people with diabetic kidney disease. We will talk about research to assess if monitoring glucose levels with a continuous glucose monitor may be helpful. We will also talk about a research study that may help us find out if this is true. If you are interested in learning how research studies can help us find answers and questions you should ask before joining a research study, register today.

  • Jean Park, MD, Endocrinologist, Diabetes and Metabolism Specialist at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital. She has a special interest in treating diabetes and thyroid disorders of patients.
  • Joe Verbalis, MD, Professor of Medicine, Chief of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Georgetown University.
  • Carine Nassar, MS, RD, Registered Dietitian and Diabetes Care and Education Specialist who serves as a Program Director at the MedStar Diabetes Institute in Washington, DC.
