Research Grand Rounds: "Examining the Influence of Host and Viral Genetics on COVID-19 Disease Severity in Local and National Datasets"

Date Fri, Jun 7
Time 12: 00 PM - 1: 00 PM
Location Virtual

Speaker: Grace Kim, National TL1 Visiting Scientist

Following our first GHUCCTS grand rounds by a visiting KL2 Scholar in May, we are pleased to present the first talk by a TL1 scholar in the national CTSA William Schnaper Visiting Scientist Program. Trained in genomics, genetics, and bioinformatics, Grace Kim’s recent research has focused on using multi-omic and bioinformatic approaches to elucidate T cell epitope diversity in response to COVID-19 viral variants and then dissect these complex interactions to explain differences in disease course and severity.  The application of these translational approaches from mechanism through population health is emblematic of the translational team science across our national CTSA consortium.
