GHUCCTS is proud to share that Ana Barac, MD, PhD, former GHUCCTS KL2 scholar led the multidisciplinary effort behind the new AHA statement on Defining Cardiovascular Endpoints in Oncology Trials, which included contributions from other cardio-oncology experts, clinical trialists, statisticians, and the FDA. Dr. Barac emphasizes the cross-disciplinary alignment with regulatory and oncology communities and support from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). The statement provides a framework to enhance trial design, support regulatory decision-making, and ultimately improve care for patients receiving novel cancer therapies.
